Megan currently serves on the Arkansas Masters board as our Coaches Chair and has done so with a servant’s heart for over 3 years. Megan started her Masters Coaching career in 2017 as a swim instructor and coach for both children and adults. She now coaches triathletes as well as offering private lessons. Megan is the Head Coach for the (very successful) masters program at the Millennium Family Fitness Center in the summer, and at the Missouri Southern University pool in the winter.
Megan has promoted USMS in her masters program, and in 2020 brought 75 members to our LMSC, accounting for nearly 40% of our total membership! She has hosted several fun-filled masters meets at her Short Course Meter pool at MSSU which are extremely popular, making them our most well attended meets to date.
Megan does a great job with keeping her social media up to date. Giving shout-outs to new members. She also promotes tips and videos for stroke improvement. Check it out at https://www.facebook.com/mcswimcoach She is a USAT Level 1 Certified Coach, as well as a Level 2 USMS Coach and Certified Clinic Instructor. She is passionate about helping athletes of all ages reach their goals in fitness and competition.
In addition to her accomplishments as a coach and teacher, Megan also holds 4 TOP TEN times from 2017/2018 and one of those is for the 200 Fly LONG COURSE! Megan also competed in the USMS Spring Nationals in May 2018.
With such dedication to the sport of swimming, excelling both in the pool and out, it is the Arkansas Masters Board’s honor to name Megan Cameron as our Swimmer of the Year!
