USMS 2K Fitness Challenge: Bentonville, June 24th

Mark Jechura has organized a fun event for us this Saturday, June 24th: the USMS 2K Fitness Challenge! This 2K swim will be held at Melvin Ford Aquatic Center on Saturday, June 24th from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM, with a social at Bike Rack Brewery to follow. We will conduct 2 waves in 2 lanes of the 50 meter pool. Daily admission to Melvin Ford is $3 (free to Bentonville Community Center members). Also, you need to be a registered 2023 USMS member to participate in the Fitness Challenge.
This will be a fun way to swim at your own pace for a long distance. You will need to register (cost is $12) online here:
https://www.usms.org/…/fitness…/summer-fitness-challenge

Swimming equipment is allowed (i.e. fins, buoy, paddles…) and all participants will receive a swim cap in the mail after the event. Funds go to support the USA Swimming Foundations which provides scholarships and grants for learn to swim programs.
