Records

Pursuing your goals and setting records is one aspect of being a Master Swimmer. Records will be posted ONLY if verified results are sent to the ARKM record keeper Carie O’Banion (carie.obanion@gmail.com).

Four different sets of records are recorded:

  • United States Top 10
  • Zones (in our case South Central Zone)
  • State (see definition below)
  • Citizen (see definition below)

United States Top 10 are effected by what timing devices were used (one watch per lane is not sufficient), are there accurate pool measurements on file and/or taken after each session, and what rules were followed.

US Masters Swimming Top 10

Zone – South Central can be only set in a Zone Championship Meet. Zone Record can only be set in the event being swum. (i.e. a 50 Free Record could not be set in another freestyle event). Zone Records can be set by swimmers from outside of the South Central Zone.

    1. After the file opens, click on the tabs at the bottom of the document for the men’s records. I know! It’s a bit confusing!
