Records

Pursuing your goals and setting records is one aspect of being a Master Swimmer. Records will be posted ONLY if verified results are sent to the ARKM record keeper Scott Halliburton (scott.halliburton@gmail.com).

In addition to USMS records, and zone records, each LMSC around the country can also  maintain their own records.  The Arkansas LMSC tracks both State and Citizen records.  Read further for definitions for each set of records.

United States Top 10 are effected by what timing devices were used (one watch per lane is not sufficient), if  there are accurate pool measurements on file and/or taken after each session, and what rules were followed.

US Masters Swimming Top 10

Zone – South Central Records.

1) Zone Champs Meet Records can be only set in a Zone Championship Meet.  These can be set by swimmers from outside of the South Central Zone.

2) All-time South Central Zone Records can only be made by swimmers who are attached to one of the LMSCs of the South Central Zone, either unattached or with a club, while participating in a meet. They can be made at any meet in any location.

State Records are set by any currently registered USMS swimmer at a  sanctioned or recognized meet held within the boundaries of the Arkansas LMSC (see map for LMSC boundaries). Be sure to click on the tabs at the bottom of the Excel spreadsheets to see Women’s records or Men’s records.

Citizen Records are set by any currently registered USMS swimmer who are members of a club within the Arkansas LMSC.

Citizen records can be set by any swimmer at a sanctioned or recognized meet, who has a current USMS registration and is a member of  the Arkansas Masters LMSC at the time of the swim. (Swimmers must be either UNAT/UC23, or a member of a club registered with the Arkansas LMSC.)
Swimmers must also reside, for at least part of the year, in the state of Arkansas (exception: residents of Texarkana, TX and the Joplin, Mo area are eligible, as long as they are also a member of Arkansas Masters Swimming as described above.)

Be sure to click on the tabs at the bottom of the Excel spreadsheets to see Women’s records or Men’s records.

    1. After the file opens, click on the tabs at the bottom of the document for the men’s records. I know! It’s a bit confusing!
