The Walmart Oz Mile Swim Race Recap

The OZ Mile was a full weekend of festivities centered around swimming in the Ozarks. We had 302 registered for the swim, representing 17 states from around the country. The event featured live music, finisher belt buckles, yummy food, an assortment of beverages, all centered around comradery for swimming.  The overall male and female winners will be attending the World’s largest open water swim, The Midmar Mile, in South Africa in February 2023 as the winning prize. This event was the largest open water swim in Arkansas, and is looking to be the biggest in the US in years to come.

Put the last full weekend of September 2023 on your calendars as there is something for everyone from volunteering, to swimming your first open water mile with fins on! Follow along on social media for all the latest information @ozmileswim for Facebook and Instagram or at www.ozmileswim.com .
