Meet MCM Masters swimmer, Lindsay Meadows. Lindsay is a part of a masters group that is actually in Missouri, but which is included in the Arkansas Masters LMSC. Read about Lindsay here.
Grant Awarded
Bonnie Adams recently received a USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation grant. Bonnie has a business in Northwest Arkansas called The Joys of Swimming that offers lessons and clinics for swimmers of all ages. Bonnie will use the grant money to offer a set of free Adult Learn to Swim classes in Bentonville in April. More info coming about how you, as a masters swimmer, might be able to help her and give back to the swimming community.

ARKM Swimmer of the Year
Every year we recognize someone with the “Arkansas Masters Swimmer of the Year” award. This award is given to an ARKM swimmer who excels in and/or out of the pool, and who contributes to the spirit of Arkansas Masters Swimming. This award is presented at the annual Hall of Fame Banquet held each spring in Little Rock.
The Arkansas Masters Board is seeking nominations for our 2018 recipient. If you would like to nominate a deserving recipient, please shoot me an email (carie.obanion@gmail.com) with their name, and a short description as to why you are nominating that person. Please try to get nominations in by Jan 20th.

ARKM Annual Meeting
This is a notice that the annual meeting of the Arkansas Masters LMSC will take place Thursday, Jan 24th at 6:00pm. We will meet at:
Jose’s, 1032 E Henri De Tonti Blvd, Springdale, AR 72762
Any currently registered Arkansas Masters swimmer is welcome to attend. We would love to have you!
At this meeting we will elect new officers, approve a 2019 budget, and discuss goals for the new year. If you have anything that you would like to discuss at that meeting, please contact me directly prior to the meeting. You can find the minutes from all of our annual meetings on the USMS website.
