Sanctions Chair: Byron Shefchik (1 year)

Joplin meet
Megan Cameron’s club, the MC Soakers, hosted another Short Course Meters meet on February 23, with 50 swimmers from 6 states in attendance! The results aren’t quite yet available, but I know that many records were broken that day – they will be reported in the March newsletter so stay tuned! Thanks so much to Megan and all she does for masters swimming!
2020 Initiatives
The board members will meet again on Monday, Mary 9th to discuss initiatives for this coming year. In particular, we are looking for ways that Arkansas Masters can encourage adults to get out and swim! If you have ideas for initiatives or events, please share them with us by emailing Byron at byronshefchik@yahoo.com
All suggestions should align with our mission which is: “to promote and develop swimming for the benefit of swimmers of all abilities aged 18 and over in accordance with the standards and the rules prescribed by USMS and this LMSC.”
